The U.S. Department of Energy, through its contractor Triad National Security, LLC, intends to award a sole-source contract to Transatomic Power Corporation for the design, construction, and operation of an Accelerator-Driven Sub-Critical Molten-Salt Assembly (ADS+MSA) facility at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The facility will be used for research on molten-salt reactor technologies and transmutation of nuclear waste.
