DWP seeks STPC service to reformat Bacs files for Faster Payments.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is procuring Short Term Payment Contingency (STPC) services to ensure benefit and pension payments can be made in exceptional circumstances when Bacs payment files are delayed. The STPC service reformats Bacs files into Faster Payment files for submission into the Faster Payment infrastructure. This is a separate procurement from the Sponsor Bank service, which handles settlement with the Bank of England. The procurement will follow a two-stage Competitive Flexible Procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. Suppliers must register on the Central Digital Platform (CDP) to participate.
