Charter inshore fishing vessel for Thames sole surveys.
Cefas seeks to charter one or more inshore fishing vessels (10m LOA minimum) to conduct two seasonal surveys in the Outer Thames, each lasting up to 7 days, to collect abundance-at-age data for juvenile sole and other demersal species. The surveys will use a standard 2m or 3m beam trawl supplied by Cefas, targeting fixed sites in the northern and southern Outer Thames. Vessels must be capable of rigging and deploying Cefas survey gear, and have local knowledge of the areas. The charter is all-inclusive fixed price covering crew, fuel, port fees, insurance, etc. Bidders must request the bidder pack via email.
