Roof refurbishment of Looe seafront toilets in Conservation Area.
Looe Town Council seeks a contractor for a complete roof refurbishment of the seafront toilets building, which is in a Conservation Area but not listed. The work includes removal of existing Delabole slates and ridge tiles (reusing where possible), installation of new breathable membrane, battens, facias, soffits, gutters, lead soakers, and lintels, as well as disposal of hazardous materials including any asbestos. The contractor must comply with CDM Regulations 2015, keep the toilets and store open during works, and assist with securing necessary permissions from Cornwall Council. Tender evaluation will consider methodology, experience with similar works and CDM-regulated projects, and ability to maintain public access. Pre-tender site visits are encouraged.
