The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to award a sole source contract to Physik Instrumente (PI) L.P. for a piezoelectric Z-stage upgrade for an existing optical microscope. The upgrade must be compatible with the current PI P-545.3C7 PInano XYZ piezo stage system and PI E-727 digital piezo controller. NIST requires a specific PI model (P-736.ZCL) with 500 µm travel range and 1 nm resolution.
