University of Canterbury seeks fluoroscopy system for swallowing studies.
The University of Canterbury (UC) seeks to acquire a new fluoroscopy system for the UC Rose Centre for Stroke Recovery and Research. The system will be used for Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS), the gold-standard assessment for swallowing disorders, supporting clinical assessment, research, teaching, and advanced clinical training for both adult and paediatric populations. The current system is over ten years old and has limitations in recording duration, image processing, interoperability, and support for contemporary VFSS protocols. The new system must deliver contemporary imaging performance, reliable recording and playback, secure data management, and long-term technical support. This procurement is a strategic investment to restore in-house VFSS capability, reduce reliance on external providers, and enhance research and teaching activities.
