University of Canterbury seeks replacement fluoroscopy system for swallowing research.
The University of Canterbury (UC) seeks to replace its aging fluoroscopy system at the UC Rose Centre for Stroke Recovery and Research. The system is used for video fluoroscopic swallowing studies (VFSS), the gold standard for diagnosing swallowing disorders. It supports clinical assessment, research, teaching, and training for adult and paediatric populations. The current unit is over ten years old with limitations in recording duration, image processing, interoperability, and protocol support. The replacement must restore and enhance these capabilities.
