IQP inspections for mechanical systems at University of Canterbury.
The University of Canterbury (UC) seeks a qualified Independent Qualified Person (IQP) to provide Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) inspection and certification services for mechanical specified systems across its campuses. The work includes inspecting, reviewing maintenance, and reporting on systems such as emergency lighting, emergency power, escape route pressurisation, mechanical ventilation/air conditioning, and smoke control systems. The contract is split into two scopes: Scope 1 covers emergency lighting and power systems; Scope 2 covers pressurisation, ventilation, and smoke control systems. Suppliers may bid for one or both scopes. UC prefers providers that deliver services using in-house resources rather than subcontracting. The contract supports UC's legal compliance under the Building Act.
