EECA commissions research on future fuels like SAF, hydrogen, and green ammonia.
The Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority (EECA) seeks research into future fuel options to replace fossil fuels in hard-to-abate sectors, including sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), hydrogen, and green ammonia. The research will cover methods of manufacture, suitable applications, and low/medium/high uptake scenarios to quantify feedstock requirements. It will prioritize more technologically ready options while maintaining a watching brief on emerging fuels. The resulting knowledge base will be regularly updated. The RFP document is available in the attachment section; questions must be submitted through GETS.
