Research on electro-thermal energy storage potential for NZ businesses.
The Energy Efficiency & Conservation Authority (EECA) of New Zealand seeks research providers to investigate the potential of electro-thermal energy storage (ETES) systems for New Zealand businesses and energy systems. The research should cover ETES technologies that convert electricity to heat for applications like industrial steam or high-temperature air, and assess benefits such as affordable process heat, efficient electricity network use, and integration of intermittent renewables. Deliverables include evidence to inform future research, modeling, and program design. A supplier briefing will be held; registration details will be published via addenda. The contract is open to qualified research providers with relevant experience.
