UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is awarding a contract for a managed payment services solution to administer and disburse scholarship-related payments at scale on behalf of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The service includes end-to-end payment administration: onboarding students and higher education institutions, identity and payment verification, secure payment processing, reconciliation, fraud prevention, and management reporting. It supports the TechGrad, Spärck AI, and Semiconductors undergraduate scholarship programmes, plus transitional support for CyberFirst students moving to TechFirst. The supplier will handle scholarship payments, stipends, tuition fees, placement payments, reimbursements, and other discretionary payments, ensuring compliance with legislation, data protection, and security standards.
