M&V replacement of hot/cold water pipework at Ashburton Hospital.
Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) seeks a qualified mechanical/plumbing contractor for the measure-and-value replacement of ageing domestic hot and cold water pipework at Ashburton Hospital in Canterbury. The work involves staged isolation, removal, and replacement of pipework in basement plant rooms, service tunnels, and ceiling areas, including valves, fittings, supports, testing, flushing, and commissioning. The project is part of a planned infrastructure renewal program and must be executed in a live hospital environment with careful coordination to minimize disruption; some work will occur outside normal hours. Tenderers must submit unit rates for both stainless steel and PPR material options, with quantities indicative and final amounts measured on site. The contract is the Health New Zealand Medium Works Contract (M&V) with a project-specific Preliminaries & General specification, and seismic restraint is required for all new pipework.
