National cloud panel for Health NZ's digital modernisation.
Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) is establishing a national Cloud Platforms Panel under the Health Digital Investment Plan (HDIP) to supply public and private cloud platform and workload hosting services. The panel supports the Cloud Modernisation Programme, which aims to consolidate fragmented digital infrastructure from 20 former District Health Boards into a modern, resilient national environment. Health NZ currently manages 12,000+ servers and plans to migrate approximately 4,000 servers in the initial four-year term, up to 11,000 across the full panel term. Providers must demonstrate enterprise-scale capability, including hosting 4,000+ virtual workloads, and private cloud respondents must provide national coverage across New Zealand. The panel is open for proposals from qualified Cloud Platform Providers.
