National Grid UK Limited is establishing a framework for comprehensive asbestos consultancy, management, analytical, mitigation, containment, and removal services across its operational and non-operational sites in England and Wales. The framework covers two business units: National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) and National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), each with separate operational requirements. Services include management surveys, refurbishment and demolition surveys, air monitoring, licensed and non-licensed asbestos removal, and a secure web-based asbestos management database. The initial term is 4 years with a possible 4-year extension. Suppliers must comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012) and maintain all necessary licences, accreditations, and insurance.
