This is a two-stage procurement for the replacement of a lead roof on the south aisle of Grade I listed St Nicholas Church in Arundel, England. The works include conservation repairs to the oak roof structure and box gutters, repointing adjacent flint walls, repairs and redecoration to cast iron rainwater goods, and associated scaffolding. The buyer is St Nicholas Parochial Church Council, represented by Vallis & Hall Conservation Architects. Contractors must demonstrate experience with historic and ecclesiastical buildings, conservation philosophy, and craftsmanship in sand cast lead work and oak rafter conservation. The pre-qualification stage will shortlist 4-5 top-scoring contractors for the tender stage.
